Wife Tries to Recover Loan Given to Husband after Divorce

A woman not only learned that her marriage was most likely a sham, but this wasn't the first time that her husband had used women for monetary purposes.

The young woman from Mongolia married her husband in 2010 in what she believed was a true-love ceremony. However, when the marriage quickly turned sour, the woman focused on regaining a hefty loan that she had given her husband before they were married. In 2009, the man was arrested on charges of embezzlement, where he was accused of stealing $225,000 from a woman outside of Chicago, Illinois. At that time, his wife paid the $20,000 bond to release him from prison.

When the 60-year-old criminal first arrived in divorce court last week in Chicago, he appeared confident and certain of his outcome. However, when his wife took to the stand, his demeanor changed. He quickly realized that this would not be a simple divorce case, but a serious battle over tens of thousands of dollars.

At this time, the case is still making its way through court as the ex-wife attempts to collect the money she feels she is owed.

Are you going through a challenging divorce? If so, now is the right time to contact a Long Island divorce attorney that can help you get through this contentious time in your life while protecting your best interests.
