Wife Gets Order of Protection from Husband

A judge in Texas lost serious credibility when his daughter released a secret video of him.

Although the video was recorded in 2004, it is having a significant impact on his life now. The video was released by his 23-year-old daughter and it shows him beating her with a belt. While it is uncertain why the daughter chose to withhold the video until now, it might be due to concerns for her 10-year-old sister. As a result of the video, the judge has been prevented from being alone with his younger daughter.

Upon seeing the video, his ex-wife immediately went to court and demanded a restraining order against him. She was granted a temporary restraining order until the judge overhearing the case decides whether to order a permanent order.

At this time, his lawyer is not responding to any comments from the media.

Has someone threatened you recently? If so, you may be allowed to seek an order of protection in New York. To expedite the process, contact the Meyers Law Firm to get help from our team of Long Island family law attorneys.
