Denise Richards Says Divorce Was Tough

Although they were officially divorced back in 2006, Denise Richards has come forward to reveal that her divorce from Charlie Sheen was "one of the worst divorces."

The pair brought two children into this world together: Lola, 6, and Sammy, 7. While Richards describes their marriage as a "beautiful love story," she is quick to admit that it ended in bitterness for both parties. Richards' memoir will be released next month, and the actress is eager to tell the story of their divorce. She wants others to not only understand the struggle that they went through, but to see how Sheen and she were able to get a a good place afterward.

Speaking before the Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival crowd earlier this month, Richards spoke about her memoir. She wants readers to "know about how I felt during that time because I feel like a lot of women can relate to that, going through a divorce and custody and being a single parent and trying to work..."
