Man Commits Murder Due to Divorce
Tragedy struck a family in West Palm Beach when a man, who believed that his in-laws were to blame for his upcoming divorce, shot his mother-in-law before turning the gun on himself.
According to the local news channel WPTV George Delva, 47, was discovered in a home in the 1700 block of 37th Street. His mother-in-law, Rosette Charles, was also found with three gunshot wounds and rushed to a nearby hospital. Although her injuries are serious she is expected to survive. Another man was brought to the hospital with chest pains after observing the incident. He is believed to be Charles' husband.
There were children present in the home at the time of the shooting who bravely demanded that Delva hand the gun over to them. He did, only to demand that they give it back to him, after which he shot himself. None of the children were injured.
