Two Officers Charged with Domestic Abuse

Two police officers are lucky that they received just a warning after both men were charged with domestic violence. The district attorney's office for a county in Wisconsin announced earlier this week that both cases would be dismissed.

When the officers were first accused of domestic violence, the charges were sent to the professional performance division of the department. Once reviewed, the charges were then sent to the district attorney's office. It is generally up to the DA to decide whether a case should be prosecuted or whether the charges will be dismissed. One of the men claimed to have acted in self-defense against his wife.

Are you a victim of domestic violence? If so, there is no time to waste in getting legal help from an experienced Long Island family law attorney who can help you avoid further harm. To get legal assistance, contact the Meyers Law Group now.
