Sister of Domestic Violence Victim Speaks Out

The sister of a woman that was declared missing and later found dismembered is speaking out about domestic violence this month. It has been one year since the dancer at a popular casino in Las Vegas went missing. It took police officers several weeks to locate her body which was found inside a closet.

Officers believe that the woman's ex-boyfriend is responsible for kidnapping, murdering and dismembering her. He has since been charged with murder and is due back in court for his hearing later this month.

After learning about the hell that her sister went through, the woman's sister has decided to become an advocate for domestic violence victims. The sister toured a woman's shelter last week and has worked to raise money for the shelter to help future victims.

When you are a victim of domestic violence, you may be scared to seek help. However, it is important that you take measures to put an end to the abuse by working with a Long Island family lawyer. Don't wait to contact the Meyers Law Group to get immediate help from our attorneys.
