Man Harasses Victim from Behind Bars

One man is in even more trouble, which is hard to believe since he is already behind bars.

A 31-year-old inmate has a history of abusing his wife. Prison officials discovered this month that he had falsified information on his call list that allowed him to call someone that has a restraining order against him. The person finally called the police when he placed nine calls over a three-day period. He will have to go to court for his recent charges, nine felony counts of first-degree criminal contempt.

He is already in prison for multiple domestic violence charges which including punching his wife in the nose and breaking her arm. What finally put him in jail, however, was when he broke into his then estranged-wife's house and tackled her. He then removed the battery from her cell phone to prevent her from calling anyone. All of this occurred in front of their 10-year-old son.

If you are suffering from domestic violence, learn how to put an end to the abuse by contacting the Meyers Law Group and speaking with one of our Long Island family law attorneys.
