Morgan Freeman's Divorce is Finalized

In Mississippi, the divorce between actor Morgan Freeman and his wife has been finalized in Jackson.

On September 15, 2010, a Tallahatchie judge entered the divorce decree said William Wright, the actor's divorce attorney.  Wright said the terms of the divorce are sealed and he stated, "It was done without a trial."  He also added that everyone is glad it is over.

Back in December 2007, Freeman and his former wife, Myrna Colley-Lee, separated after being married for 26 years.  The divorce was filed under seal in July of 2008.

Both parties reside in Tallahatchie County, which is located in northern Mississippi.  Freeman has a ranch in the area near Charleston. 

Freeman and Colley-Lee, theater and film costume designer, wed in 1984.
