Man Arrested for Violating Order of Protection in New York

This past Friday in Jamestown, New York, police say that they arrested an area man for violating an order of protection.

According to officers, Christopher Stevens, who was very intoxicated, was placed under arrest at 4:00 PM.  Authorities tried to speak with Stevens when they were approached by a female victim who told him that he had been passed out in her yard since 3:00 PM. She also told officers that she had an order of protection against Stevens.

Due to the fact that Stevens had violated an order of protection, officers took him into custody after they realized he had a prior criminal contempt charge.  He was later charged with felony criminal contempt for a second time.

If you are in need of an order of protection in New York, it is a wise idea to get help from a Long Island family law attorney as soon as possible who can help you take appropriate legal action. Contact the Meyers Law Group immediately.
