Motion Seeks to Unseal Divorce Records of state Representative Austin Scott
This week, a motion was filed that seeks to unsealed court records related to the divorce proceedings of state Representative Austin Scott. Currently, Scott is running against Democratic incumbent for Jim Marshall.
Recently, Tift County Superior Court Judge Melanie Cross singed a court order that set an October 26th hearing on the motion to unseal the divorce proceeding documents between Scott and his former wife, Annette Leigh Scott.
It is said that the hearing will be held before Superior Court Judge Bill Reinhardt just one week before the election on November 2nd.
The motion was filed by Carmel Sanders on behalf of Amy Morton, a Democratic Party activist and blogger.
