Body Found of Possible Domestic Violence Victim
A young woman's body was found last week who is reported to be a victim of domestic violence. Lynn Spicer, 33, was Jeff Julian, 22, who is now awaiting arraignment in a Bay City jail. Former victims of domestic abuse from the Bay Area Women's Center speak out about Spicer's case and their own stories. One woman said that if she hadn't sought refuge at the women's shelter, she would continue to fear for her own life.
Spicer had been reported missing since August until last week when her remains were found on Curtis Street. Investigators cite messages found on her Facebook page stating just how much she loved Julian, a fact that will undoubtedly arise in his arraignment for the open murder charge against him.
Executive Director Regina Turner of the Women's Center emphasizes the severity of this case and how there are countless others that have yet to be reported. One of the women she has helped, Dawn Taylor, had this to say "If you're worried or feel like you're in a situation like you don't know where to go, and you don't feel like you have control, get help, get help before it's too late".
