Billionaire's Kids Want Retroactive Child Support

News sources are reporting that billionaire land developer Donald L. Bren was stingy when make in child support payments.  Bren is well-known as a major political donor and a generous philanthropist.  But now, the former girlfriend and mother of his two children is alleging that he owes her child support.

For years, the pair have been battling and now the case is expected to go to trial.  Now, Bren's two children 22-year-old Christie and 18-year-old David are seeking retroactive child support in the amount of $400,000 a month each.

The children's attorney believes that the payments are well-deserved because Bren was spending $3-$5 million per month during the years that he should have been paying formal child support.  However, Bren's attorney challenged that amount.

The civil claim has provided a window into Bren's fortune and luxurious lifestyle. It is reported he owns a fleet of five jets with two full-time pilots, at 240 foot yacht with a crew and expensive homes in Southern California.

78-year-old Bren has an estimated net worth of $12 billion and is reported as Forbes magazine's 16th of the 400 richest Americans.  Today, he has lived a very secluded and private life.
